Pelagic birds include the:
- gulls
-skuas
-terns
-tubenoses (albatrosses, petrels and shearwaters, storm petrels, and diving petrels)
-boobies
-gannets
-auks
-pelicans
-cormorants and shags
Some species breed in freshwater habitats and winter on the coast, such as loons and mergansers. Submissions featuring these birds will be accepted, but they must be clearly at their coastal winter domains and not in said freshwater breeding areas. Specifying where the photo was taken in your description is acceptable as clarification in this matter.
